Missions and Outreach Ministry

Mahajanga, Madagascar

In Mahajanga, Madagascar, Sarobidy Maternity Center has made remarkable changes in the community through prenatal and postnatal care, reducing the number of babies and mothers that once were dying in their delivery. The team on the ground and has requested our presence to help provide encouragement to expectant mothers.

This team will consist of:

  • Medical personnel – ObGyn is best (doctors, nurses, etc)
  • Licensed counselors; spiritual directors; trained biblical counselors
  • People with the spiritual gift of encouragement

This team will be providing encouragement to the staff and ministering to expectant moms through compassion, medical care, and pre and post natal education.

Date: April 13th – 27th

Cost: $3,000 (includes airfare, lodging, & meals)

Refugee camps in Uganda house mostly Sudanese and Congolese people; from countries where there is extreme civil war. We want to bring a ministry to women who have experienced trauma due to gender based violence and war. The team will also be serving refugees who are Christian ministers and need to be encouraged and empowered.

This team will consist of:

  • Bible Teachers with formal Biblical training (Seminary or Bible college)
  • Trauma counseling and support for women (Licensed counselors; spiritual directors; trained biblical counselors)

This team will focus on leadership development of Christian leaders who are involved in church planting among displaced people in refugee camps in Uganda AND the women who have endured trauma (resettlement, sexual assault, etc.). The team’s goal is to be used as vessels to set in motion an indigenous church planting movement among South Sudanese believers and to bring peace that only God can give.

Dakar, Senegal

Dakar, Senegal is 92% Muslim. The need for the truth of the Gospel is strong. In the streets of Dakar are many street boys; ministry to them is quite powerful. Providing them with safe places to rest, eat and clean up and teaching them ESL are powerful ways to open their eyes to the truth of the gospel.

This team will consist of:

  • Children’s ministry workers – male
  • Those who have the spiritual gifts of encouragement and intercession/prayer
  • Young men with a desire to physically interact through sports

The team will be performing prayer walks in this Muslim community, doing VBS to the Talibe street boys of Dakar Senegal, and connecting with these boys in ways that ensure that they feel cared for by men who are strong Christians.

Date: June 14th – June 30th

Nkwanta, Ghana

The Oti region of Ghana is located in the northeast part of the country. The town of Nkwanta is the home of 7 strong people groups. The spiritual makeup in reality is ⅓ animist, ⅓ Islamic, and ⅓ Christian. Many people practice two of these spiritual beliefs at one time. A current need in the area is access to quality medical care.

This team will consist of:

  • Bible Teachers with formal Biblical training (Seminary or Bible college)
  • Medical personnel – PAs, nurses, physicians (internal medicine, pediatrics, dentists, etc.)

The team will minister in the community of Nkwanta in the Oti Region of Ghana. We will provide free medical clinics. This medical outreach will be means of sharing the gospel in one of the most under-served areas of the country. We will provide free biblical training in a one week conference for pastors and Christian leaders.

Date: July 9th – July 23rd

Mangochi & Lilongwe, Malawi

Malawi is located in Southeast Africa. It is among the least developed nations in the world and one of the poorest nations in the world. ½ of their population is below the poverty line – ¼ is below extreme poverty. The corruption in the government has stopped distribution of aid to the country. Malawi is about 85% Christian. The level of poverty is great as is the shortage of educational professionals and health professionals at every level.

This team will consist of:

  • Medical personnel – PAs, nurses, physicians (internal medicine, pediatrics, dentists, etc.)
  • Trauma counseling and support for women (Licensed counselors; spiritual directors; trained biblical counselors)
  • People with passions for bringing both joy and care into the homes affected by various serious illnesses.

The team will partner with Somebody Cares Ministries in Lilongwe, and African Christian Fellowship in Mangochi. The ministry will involve serving widows, those afflicted with HIV, and children in slums as well as rural communities in and around the city of Lilongwe. The team will also minister to the Yao, a Muslim people group, by faciliating a medical ministry in their community.

Mombasa, Kenya

Mombasa, Kenya is coastal city in Kenya. The city is about 59% Muslim and 41% Christian. The dominant people in Mombasa are the followers of Islam. Churches in Mombasa are mostly under security to keep believers safe in times of worship. The team will work with the Bara Bara street boys – getting them off the street and introducing them to Christ. The ministry provides understandable Bible study, counseling for alcohol and drug use, and helps these boys to go on to school.

This team will consist of:

  • Young men
    • Desire and ability to physically interact through soccer
    • The gift and the passion for making disciples

The team will be involved in discipleship and sports ministry with the Bara Bara boys ministry.

The Island of Mozambique (Ilha de Moçambique)

Ilha de Moçambique lies off of the coast of Mozambique. It is a coral reef only about 2.5 miles from the mainland. A population of approximately 14,000. The largest people group on the Island are the Makua Nahara. They have predominantly held on to their traditional religion, which honors ancestors and nature spirits. They are strong followers of Islam.

This team will consist of:

  • Those who have a desire and ability interact through sports
  • The gift and the passion for making disciples

Date: Oct 7th – 22nd

The team will be serving on Ilha de Mozambique. The scope of this trip will to encourage new Makua Nahara believers who are undergoing persecution, engage in prayer walks in Muslim communities, and disciple young men.

The consistent story of the Scripture is God’s passionate love and pursuit of all people of the world. We go into the world to be a model of courageous obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), and to be active participants in seeing that the gospel for every person, and a church for every people is realized (Revelation 7:9-11).


The trip cost includes airfare, airport taxes, meals, lodging, in country transportation, ministry expenses, and international travel insurance


Yes. Raising support for missions is a stewardship opportunity the Lord has given us to share with others what He is doing in the world. It puts the dependence on God, and not ourselves when we allow Him to be the provider for us. Donations that exceed the need of the participant will still be used for mission projects. First priority will be given to ministry needs of that specific trip. If budgets for the particular missions trip are met, funds will go for future mission projects.


Every team member is required to take the Front Door 2 Frontier curriculum. Front Door 2 Frontier is designed to impart a better understanding of Christ’s command for His church to make disciples of all nations. You will gain the tools to help you understand cross-cultural adaptation, and also identify interpersonal skills that lead to healthy teams involved in cross-cultural ministry.


Yes, You will need a valid passport for all FD2F Exposure trips. The VISA requirement will vary depending on the country the team is traveling.
